How to make PowerPoint go backwards
By Art Feierman   Printer Friendly Version

In older versions of Powerpoint, a simple RIGHT mousclick made the
presentation go backwards to the previous slide. Now however you either use the faint arrow keys, or RIGHT mouseclick and get a pullup menu - very unprofessional.

To make "Back One Slide" the default for Powerpoint:
Inside your presentation:

1. Select the Tools Menu See Fig 1.

2. Select the Options Sub-Menu

3. DeSelect "Popup menu on right mouse click" in the View tab
See Fig 2
.

4. Optionally, you may DeSelect "Show popup menu button"

(If you leave the popup menu button, clicking on it in slideshow mode will now give you the popup menu from inside the presentation - allowing Next, Back, access to Meeting Minder, Exit, Pointer Options, Speakers Notes and other choices),

5. Click OK. The next time you enter your presentation, your settings will remain in effect if you have saved your presentation.
